Explore the expansive nature of Sri Lanka by touring the various locations. Visit the wildlife parks, trek mountain trails and take train rides through the stunning green hills.

Itinerary

Arrive in Sri Lanka and head to Kalpititya. In this city, you can explore the underwater territories of Sri Lanka. It is most famous for its water-based activities. Rest at your hotel on day one to prepare for the fun-filled activities of day two. In the early hours of the day, head out to sea to see the dolphins and whales which migrate from cold water to warm waters.
Leave Kalpitiya and head to the Wilpattu National Park. This is where the natural ‘willus’ form. These depressions in the land which become filled with rainwater become watering holes for the wildlife. Explore the park and see the various animals and birds that exist here.
Go to Habarana to take part in some thrilling activities. On the fourth day of your stay proceed to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress where you can scale the enormous rock and enjoy the breathtaking vistas from the summit. View the frescoes that adorn the walls while hiking up. Travel to Minneriya the National Park on day five to embark on a wildlife safari. Asian elephants make up a significant portion of this parks population. Go on a village tour in the afternoon.
Head to Ramboda by passing through Kandy, where you will pause the trip to tour the vibrant city. Stroll through the city to see the stunning architecture that is a mix of modern and historic. Shop for some traditional crafts and sample some of the traditional cuisine. Check into the hotel to rest for the rest of the day when you arrive in Ramboda.
Take the scenic train ride that starts from Nanu Oya and ends at Ella. On this breathtaking train ride, you will be stunned by the electrifying scenery of the green mountains with misty tops, the waterfalls and the quaint towns that exist on the mountainsides.
Begin your journey to Arugam Bay after you visit Little Adam’s Peak, a stunning hike which shows the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Before this, head to the Nine Arches Bridge to take picturesque images of the train as it passes by. Spend some days in leisure as you sit by the ocean and enjoy the waves.
At Yala National Park, you can have the chance to come across the elusive leopard as it hunts prey or hides in the tree branches. As you traverse through this park, come across the wild animals that live in this habitat which takes up a large portion of the southern corner of the country.
Known to have a large population of Elephants, the Udawalawe National Park is a sentimental location. You can travel through this park on a safari and see the little elephants playing in the mud as the matriarch watches over them.
For the two days before departure, you will head to the southern coast of Sri Lanka to explore the historic sights and enjoy the ocean. Once you arrive, make your way to Galle to see the historic Galle Fort. It is known to be one of Asia’s best-preserved sea forts. Afterwards, relax on the beachfront as the sun sets. Head to Mirissa early on day fourteen to go whale watching. During the migration period, many species of whale can be found making their way to warm waters as they travel past Sri Lanka. Cycle through the village in the afternoon and see the sights and befriend the friendly people.
Leave the southern coast and head to the airport for departure.
