DAY 01
When you reach Negombo, relax after your journey. Discover the town’s peaceful beaches and vibrant fishing scene.
DAY 02
Go to the Munneswaram and Mannarai temples in Chilaw first thing in the morning. In addition to their religious significance, these temples are renowned for their exquisite architecture. Kandy, the capital city renowned for its vibrant culture is the next stop on your journey. As soon as you get there begin your city tour to take advantage of the vibrant local market and the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic.
DAY 03
When you reach Nuwara Eliya don’t miss seeing the two major Ramayana sites; Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil and Seetha Amman Kovil. Savour the stunning landscape of this hill country which is well-known for its cold climate and tea plantations.
DAY 04
Leave Nuwara Eliya and travel to Bandarawela, a quaint hill city surrounded by misty mountains and thick tea plantations. Visit Gayathri-Peedam a serene Hindu shrine honoring the goddesses Gayathri and Divurumpola the site where Sita is said to have met Agni Pariksha in the Ramayana.
DAY 05
Explore the famous Ravana Caves and Ravana Falls which may have Ramayana connections when you arrive in Ella on day five. Discover the sacred temple at Kataragama a major Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site.
DAY 06
Visit the famous temple of Lord Murugan in the late morning. Examine Ussangoda, a distinctive coastal region that is believed to have served as Hanuman’s landing place during his quest for Sita. The Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo and the Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa round out your full-day tour of the historically significant Rumassala Temple in Galle.
DAY 07
Head to Colombo on the final day of the adventure. In Colombo, you can visit the stunning architectural sites. Visit shopping malls, purchase trinkets, and try some fusion cuisine. Then make your to the airport for departure.
